Honourable guests, professors, ladies and gentlemen,
I am very honoured to speak at this venue in remembrance of the great leader, benevolent father of the Korean people, the great President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his demise.
I have visited Pyongyang, the capital city of DPR of Korea several times and taken part in the April Spring Friendship Arts Festival with my harmonica performance team.
The more I visit Pyongyang, the better an understanding I have the happiness of the Korean people and I now fully realize that all their happiness and glory were borne of the wise guidance and sound idea of the great President Kim Il Sung.
The great President Kim Il Sung set out on the road of revolution upholding the banner of Juche from the beginning, fought his way across tens of thousands of ri in the bloody war against the Japanese imperialists and finally liberated the fatherland from the crucial exploitations of the imperialists. After liberating the country, he built up the invincible and powerful socialist country through the bitter hardships on the untrodden path for more than half a century. The present dignity of Korea, the splendid lives of the Korean people and the precious gains of the Korean revolution are all synonymous with his esteemed name.
Earlier in the political history of the country, there was no any wiser leader like the great President Kim Il Sung who led not only in building the country but also in its revolution and construction to glorious victory hence the foundation for the prosperity of the country and nation was laid solid.
The great President Kim Il Sung had created the eternal victorious banner of the Korean revolution, the Juche idea and applied it gloriously to the revolutionary practice.
He put an end to the national sufferings marked by dogmatism and servility in Korea unfolding the path of the Korean revolution and turned the country into a heroic Korea annihilated the two outrageous imperialist enemies, and created a powerful socialist country of independence, self-sufficient and self-reliant that has leaped forward in the spirit of Chollima like a very fast and fine horse.
He also established the WPK (the Workers' Party of Korea) as the most powerful, fighting-efficient and Juche-oriented revolutionary party in the era of independence, the revolutionary forces as the powerful Paektu revolutionary military army which has been handed down through generations the tradition of independence against imperialism and the Korean people as the most dignified people in the spirit of national independence leading the party, army and people to victory with faith for Juche.
The Juche idea created by the great President Kim Il Sung is a valuable national wealth which will be recognised a glorious moment in world history. It helped to make the world come to the realization of the independent development of Korea, socially, economically and politically.
And the Songun (Army-first policy) revolutionary cause achieved by the great President Kim Il Sung is the cornerstone that has made the present Korea win victory after victory as an invincible powerful country.
The great President Kim Il Sung ushered in the rise of the Songun revolution for the first time in the history of Korea and created an heroic epic of a big decisive battle against imperialism. He destroyed the most outrageous and formidable imperialists and achieved the brilliant exploits of the liberation of Korea and the military victory of July 27th. That is why the Korean people and the progressive people in the world admire and respect him as the ever-victorious brilliant iron-willed commander and the genius in military affairs.
Thanks to the great efforts of the great President Kim Il Sung in establishing the invincible revolutionary armed forces under the banner of Songun and continuously increasing its defence capabilities, after liberation, the socialist revolution and construction in Korea have been able to be successfully accelerated even amidst the endless aggressive manoeuvrings of the imperialists.
Undoubtedly, without the wise guidance of Songun of the great President Kim Il Sung, the political and ideological, strategic and tactical, military technical power of the KPA (Korean People's Army) would never have been achieved and established together with its solid basis of independent defence industry and powerful nationwide defence system in Korea.
The other immortal exploit of the great President Kim Il Sung is the manner in which he built up the Juche-oriented socialist state of Korea in which the independent requirements of the masses are fully realized, carrying out the 2 stages of social revolution gloriously and guiding the nation in path to socialism.
The great President Kim Il Sung fashioned the Korean style of socialism into full advantage without any deviation from the track of the Juche line implementing independent policies and benevolent politics and brought and guided the people into a grand socialist family in unity and harmony.
The Korean style of socialism built up by the great President Kim Il Sung is a society whose ideological basis is collectivism, realizing the thankful popular policies of the Party and state and let the people enjoy a highly, worthy political life and creative working life with equal material welfare and sound cultural and emotional life.
Thus the immortality of the Korean style of socialism bequeathed by the great President Kim Il Sung is just as what it has been rooted in its grand field, the people and their support for and trust in the socialism of Juche are unshakable.
The great President Kim Il Sung, indeed, was a peerless patriot, extraordinary veteran politician and the forefather of socialist Korea who accomplished great exploits to the Korean people and at the era and revolution with his profound ideological theory, outstanding leadership ability and the immense revolutionary experience.
Today all these exploits of the great President Kim Il Sung are being firmly carried forward by the great leader Kim Jong Un who brilliantly succeeded the revolutionary cause of the great leader Kim Jong Il.
The Korean people are solving all the problems of state construction and activities true to his ideas and intentions and creating epoch-making miracles and innovations in building a powerful socialist thriving nation venerating the great President Kim Il Sung as their Eternal President and the Sun.
The great exploits of the great leader Kim Il Sung devoted to the realization of world independence will be handed down through the centuries.
The benevolent image of Kim Il Sung will be deeply cherished and entrenched in the hearts of the progressive people of the World. ***
