President Kim Il Sung always lives in my mind.
I was bestowed with the audience with President twice and I still vividly remember his remarks and attitude full of confidence, and his voices, low-pitched, pleasant and powerful, as well as his warm glances.
To me, a professional researcher for Marxist economics, he is a leader who made me have correct ideas and rectify theories and who led me to the road of worthwhile life.
Among the state leaders across the world, it is only President Kim Il Sung, who defeated two aggressive imperialist powers-Japan and US.
It is attributable to his leadership that the DPRK managed to resolutely go ahead with man-centred socialism, without submission to the consistent moves of the imperialist allies to collapse the system of the DPRK.
While leading revolution and construction in Korea, he authored the Juche idea, a universal idea, and introduced the methods of leadership guided by the principle of “believing in people as in god”, on the basis of an objective insight into the prevailing situation.
First of all, the historical significance of the achievements of President Kim Il Sung lies in founding and establishing the Juche idea.
It is an idea based on the foundation of social survival and development of human being, i. e, on the foundation of life. It is universal to human being. By the foundation for social survival of human being, I can mean partly human relations, in other words, nation and national culture that have been formed historically, in addition to the foundations for production like agriculture and industry.
The foundation for the survival of human being exists regardless of historical forms of society.
In this respect, the idea based on it is of universal character to human being, I think.
Next, Kimilsungism attaches priority concern to building up the driving forces of society with the workers and other working masses as the masters of revolution and construction.
It is the essence of the development of the human society that the working masses understand their position as the masters of society and play the creative role to the full.
President made every possible effort to build the driving forces.
The main thing in building the driving forces is the ideological education, that is, to instill in the minds of people the faith in the Juche idea.
The activities of human being, who has consciousness, are determined by his ideology.
If the popular masses are obsessed with the egoistic idea of money, the human society is sure to be corrupted.
Human society will develop indefinitely through the modelling of the whole people on the Juche Idea.
What is more, the Juche idea based on the foundation of life can be acquired by the popular masses themselves spontaneously, not by force. In addition, Kimilsungism attached importance to the formation of the single-hearted unity of the leader, the Party and the popular masses.
In accordance with the idea of “believing in people as in god”, the needs of the popular masses are the determining factor for the guiding policies and lines of the leader and the Party.
To this end, the strong relationship of trust has to be established between the leader, the Party and the popular masses.
No force can be stronger than that of the single-hearted unity of the whole society.
Adhering to the principle of building the man-centred socialism based on the Juche idea, President rejected dogmatism in his concrete policies and practices and insist on practice that reflects the realities, and enforces his leadership accordingly.
He overcame dogmatism and revisionism and showed the concrete ways to the goal and followed them, in accordance with the requirements of the realities and on the basis of analysis and judgment on them.
This had not been done by the precedent socialist leaders who advocated Marxism.
Despite fraternal relations with foreign countries, he pushed ahead with revolution and construction by dint of self-reliance rather than relying on those countries.
Next, Kimilsungism set forth the diplomatic policy based on independence and solidarity in external relations.
He responded to the aggression of the imperialist forces that infringed upon sovereignty, with unmerciful self-defensive military strength; enhanced solidarity with different countries who were fighting against the imperialists; built trust with the countries who were willing to establish the relationship of trust. He maintained the external policy based on “acts for acts.”
In other words, he set forth the diplomatic methods based on the Juche idea in a concrete way.
Relying on the foundation of man-centred socialism established by President Kim Il Sung on the basis of the Juche idea, Kim Jong Il, WPK General Secretary, frustrated the moves of imperialists to destroy the system of the DPRK by the nuclear preemptive strike as their very last resort. And now Kim Jong Un, the WPK First Secretary, laid down the line of building up economy and nuclear power simultaneously and is firmly stepping up with the building of a socialist thriving nation. The man-centred socialism put forth by President is proving its vitality in practice.
As the Juche idea assumes universal character as an idea for human being, it is important that the popular masses who are living in the capitalist societies like us can and must accept it as faith.
Today, a minority of the financial monopolistic capitalists survive at the cost of the life of workers and working farmers, thus making it our urgent task to realize man-centred socialism based on the Juche idea .
I will set it my goal and make efforts to this end to study the works of President Kim Il Sung for his idea and theories and acquire their experiences in practice and thus accept the Juche idea as my faith; and embody it in the realities and circumstances of Japan to realize man-centred socialism based on the Juche idea. ***
