PRESIDENT Kim Il Sung made many exploits that will go down the history of the world as the “founding father” of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the author of the Juche idea the Korean people makes a guideline in carving out their destiny.
The Juche idea became a universal ideal which inspires a spirit of the independence and self-sustenance not only to the Korean people but also many countries and nations fighting against the oppression of the imperialists.
The international community of the 21st century entered into the era of a new confrontation and resistance.
Now it is the time when the world peoples have to join efforts in firm solidarity to establish equal and mutually beneficial international relationship under the ideal of the national sovereignty clarified by President Kim Il Sung.
The peoples of many countries and regions will reaffirm the historical role of the Juche idea and its importance in the 21st century on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the death of President Kim Il Sung.
They also hope that it will be transferred to the practical activities for the peace of the world. President Kim Il Sung put forth the three principles of reunifying Korea independently, peacefully and with the great national unity and made all his efforts to bring them into reality. These principles were invariably succeeded by General Secretary Kim Jong Il and First Secretary Kim Jong Un and turned into a support of the Korean people.
The international community too has to strengthen the activities for supporting the struggle for the reunification of Korea based on these principles.
To this end, first of all Japan and the United States must have the intention to bring into reality the normalization of the diplomatic relations as soon as possible, cooperate to carry on the denuclearization of the whole Korean peninsula and create a peaceful atmosphere in east Asia.
We expect that the DPRK will establish a cooperative relationship with Japan and the United States on an equal footing and play a leading role in paving the way for peace of the international society as well as East Asia.
Hoping to accelerate the building of a thriving nation under the strong leadership of First Secretary Kim Jong Un, we also extend warm solidarity and support to the Korean people in their struggle for the reunification of the country. ***
