His demise was a great loss not only to the Korean people but also the world progressive people.
President Kim Il Sung was the great leader who made immortal devotion to the Korean and world revolution and to the implementation of the cause of independence of humankind.
He was the great ideologist and theoretician who created the immortal Juche Idea, the great leading idea of our independent era.
He founded the Juche Idea indicating the true path of the Korean revolution in his early years when he set out on the road of struggle in his early teens with a great ambition to save the Korean people from the Japanese military occupation. This was a great event that brought about a radical turn in shaping the destiny of the Korean people.
The Juche Idea and the revolutionary theory and line of struggle on the idea enabled the Korean people who were suffering as colonial slaves to become the great people aware of their being the master of their own destiny and the world. Consequently they came to be able to form the mighty motive force of revolution and wage vigorous struggles to liberate the nation and build a new society.
Because it was guided by this great idea, the DPRK was able to repel the Japanese and US imperialists and develop into a strong socialist state from ruins in the postwar years and remain an impregnable bulwark of socialism even when many the socialist countries collapsed toward the close of the last century.
The Juche Idea is shining as a guiding idea of the age on the road of struggle of the world progressive people as well as in Korea. The fact that there are active over 1100 Juche Idea study and dissemination organizations in more than a hundred countries across the world shows that this idea has ruled the time and commanded the sympathy of the whole mankind.
And President Kim Il Sung was the great leader who used his outstanding leadership and led the Korean revolution to victory. After liberating Korea by leading the bloody anti-Japanese war to victory, the President achieved the great work of founding the Republic.
He established the people-centered socialist system under which the free medical care and free education systems were enforced. He also saw to it that the national industrialization that had been done in hundreds of years in other countries was realized in 14 years so as to establish the mighty independent national economy.
Meanwhile, he built the peerless revolutionary armed forces and founded the most dignified and strongest ruling Party as a guiding force of the society. These achievements of the President constitute the eternal foundation of the Republic.
The President was the fatherly leader of the Korean people who regarded the slogan “the people are my God” as his lifelong motto and devoted everything to his people during his lifetime.
He actively helped the oppressed peoples of the world in their liberation struggle, and the newly independent states in their efforts to build new societies. He worked energetically to ensure that the world socialist movement and the non-aligned movement remained faithful to their intrinsic missions.
In consequence the cause of human independence as a whole vigorously advanced and thus, those were great and immortal contributions on the implementation of the cause of global independence.
Indeed, the immortal achievements registered by the President Kim Il Sung in the Korean revolution and the implementation of the cause of global independence will go down down from generation to generation for their greatness and vigorously encourage the struggles of the Korean people for building a powerful and prosperous nation and the world progressive people aspiring after the independence.
Now the progressive people all over the world are delighted to notice the fact that the heroic people of Korea, holding high Comrade Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the idea, leadership and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il to the victory as the supreme leader of the Party, army and people are registering great success in defending national sovereignty, peace and security on the Korean peninsula and building a prosperous nation.
We, the members of the Communist Party of South Africa and the Friendship and Solidarity Association with Korean People reaffirm our full support to the just and sacred struggle of the Korean people for defending national sovereignty and peace and security on the Korean peninsula and building the prosperous nation, smashing all sorts of war provocations by the US and its followers.
We would like to assure you that we’ll strengthen our struggle to defend the achievement of the President who devoted all to the implementation of the cause of global independence.
