DEAR Comrades! Dear Friends!
At the beginning, I would like to say that I am really very happy to meet you all and stay here with you today.
The Polish branch of the Korean Friendship Association is making permanent and tireless efforts to promote Polish-Korean friendship and solidarity with the Korean people. We are also showing to Poles the true face of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. We constantly fight for the good name of President Kim Il Sung, who is our great authority, role model and a great lighthouse, pointing us to the right path.
I will start my speech from the following quotes:
"Daddy, thank you for my happy and safe childhood!" - say the children on a street in Pyongyang. "Dad, I come to you in an important case and I want you give me an advice" - we hear in many Korean films. All this refers to the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, the father of an independent and democratic Korea. Why is he called the father of Korea? This is neither a coincidence nor any artificial title. This is due to love and gratitude to the great liberator.
On July 8, 1994 Kim Il Sung, one of the greatest statesmen of the twentieth century, died, but his great exploits and achievements are forever enshrined in the history of democratic Korea. He will always remain in the hearts of Koreans and progressives from around the world. He is immortal like the sun.
Western mass media has repeatedly lied about him, but his contributions to his country and people and for all of humanity are undeniable and will never be forgotten. However, we do not believe Western propaganda and we are opposed to it's lies, exposing the great achievements and accomplishments of the President.
I would like to tell you a bit about Korean-Polish friendship provided by President Kim Il Sung, the great friend of Poland.
In Poland we have a special great respect to President Kim Il Sung. Korea and Poland share many things. For example, we have a very similar history. Both our countries had to face with the imperialist and fascist aggressors, overcame the burden of occupation and devoted a lot for freedom. And finally, our friendship blossomed in the period of freedom, which was the time of the triumph of communism in the world.
During his life, President Kim Il Sung visited Poland twice and he always met with great hospitality from our side. For the first time, he visited Poland in 1956, meeting with a warm welcome and the typical hospitality of our people. During his visit, he visited the Korean children, who the Poles took under their care, while democratic Korea fought for freedom against the American aggressor. Poland was such a faithful friend, whom Comrade Kim Il Sung could entrust their children while he fought against the barbaric American imperialists.
When the U.S. imperialists provoked a war on the Korean Peninsula, Poland has strongly condemned this barbaric act of aggression and as the fraternal socialist assistance we've sent doctors to the DPRK. Polish medical personnel, without regard for his own safety, was helping Korean soldiers, often right on the front line and under the bombs of American aggressors. To this day an orthopedic hospital im Hamhung is often called "The Polish hospital". All this thanks to the deep ties which united our nations. In those days we perfectly understood the situation of Koreans, as we also had to face with the cruel invaders in our history.
Thanks to an outstanding command of Comrade Kim Il Sung, freedom and democracy prevail American imperialism and barbarism. The DPRK demonstrated then that the U.S. imperialists are not invincible, they can be overcome. This had a great impact on the peoples of the third world, fighting for freedom and democracy against colonialism and slavery.
The second time, President Kim Il Sung visited Poland in 1984. Then he met with General Wojciech Jaruzelski, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party. The two leaders of the socialist nations were very friendly with each other. During his visit to Poland, President Kim Il Sung assured Poland about support of the Korean people to the Polish activities in the international arena. He also condemned the pressure on Poland from the U.S. imperialists. General Wojciech Jaruzelski assured President Kim Il Sung about great friendship towards the Korean people from the Polish people.
Comrade Kim Il Sung invited Wojciech Jaruzelski to the DPRK.
Wojciech Jaruzelski visited democratic Korea in 1986. At the airport, he was greeted by President Kim Il Sung. He met with great hospitality from a friendly Korean people. During his visit, the two sides provide each other about mutual support and solidarity, friendship and cooperation. To the delight of both of our nations, our friendship and cooperation steadily increased.
Although both our homelands are spaced so far away, it did not bother our friendship. For true friendship, distance does not matter. Today, we are proud of such a beautiful tradition of friendship and solidarity between our countries.
Even though so much in common, that the Poles and Koreans survived together so much, after the betrayal of Polish politicians in 1989 and after the restoration of capitalism in its effect, the Polish rulers have sold our country to the Yankees. The capitalist mass media in Poland have joined the international campaign against the DPRK, and many Poles who supported the DPRK's actions and the system - many of them became the victims of repression often in their workplaces.
The Polish Branch of the Korean Friendship Association does not agree to it. We are trying to continue the noble tradition of friendship and solidarity between our peoples, guided by the immortal teachings of the Great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un. We are not going to give up, we will continue to work harder for our cause. We are not afraid of the growing anti-DPRK campaign in our country - we know that behind this venal there are only dishonest journalists and other international capitalist's subordinates.
We will be always inspired by the immortal deeds of President Kim Il Sung, the Beloved Leader Kim Jong Il and respected Marshal Kim Jong Un and great achievements of the Korean nation. Our actions are directed by the internal desire of mental revolution and also - the desire of Poland free and sovereign with permanent development of Polish-Korean friendship.
I am honored that I can, through my speech, pay tribute to the Great Man, President Kim Il Sung. Today, thanks to him, the DPRK is a democratic and independent country, able to self-defense against any aggressor. His big ideas are studied all over the world and his great deeds will remain forever in the hearts of Koreans and progressives from around the world. For me, he is a great man and authority. My biggest dream is to shake the hand of Marshal Kim Jong Un, his great successor and the another great man of Mount Paektu.
Long live the memory of the great President Kim Il Sung!
Kim Il Sung is immortal like the sun!
Long live the DPRK! ***
