TWENTY years ago, Great Leader and Eternal President Kim Il Sung passed away. It was July 8, JUCHE 83 (1994). He was at his office, working, always in full activity, always for his people!
It was indeed a sad day. But for the Korean People, and also for us, revolutionaries workers all around the world, he never died. He still lives, forever in our hearts.
His life has to be an example for all revolutionaries and for the oppressed masses of the Earth. In 1925 he left Mangyongdae promising himself not to come back until Korea was a free country. In 1926 he continued his father’s legacy fighting for Jiwon (Aim High). With a strong confidence in the Korean Masses and their unity, he prepared the armed struggle against the imperialist Japanese aggression. Along with Revolutionary Heroine Kim Jong Suk, he commanded the Korean Revolutionary Army forward to Motherland’s liberation, re-founding free Korea in 1945, and founding the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea three years later. It was in the secret camp of Mount Paektu where his son was born, Dear Leader Eternal General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
President Kim Il Sung guided the Korean Masses through their destiny, a destiny controlled by themselves, a destiny built with their own hands, trusting the unity around the first Juche-based Party in the world and the Korean People’s Army. This was essential in order to build a prosperous and a happy nation before, during and after the Great Liberation War (1950-1953), assuring the victory of Juche Socialism and Revolution.
In 1972, General Kim Il Sung presented the project for the Reunification of the Motherland over three principles: peaceful reunification, independence and great national unity. In 1980 he proposed the creation of the Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo, later came the Ten Points Program in 1993.
Comrade Kim Il Sung’s dream of One Korea and his many achievements were later strongly defended by Dear Leader Kim Jong Il and right now by Marshall Kim Jong Un.
Eternal President’s tireless work, countless writings and immortal revolutionary thought went beyond the ages and transformed the material and spiritual shape of the world. Kim Il Sung will always be the Sun of the Twentieth Century. The working class will forever remember him and thank him, as we also thank the Korean People for continuing the path he started: a path of hope and inspiration that will lead us for sure into a better future for all Humanity.
Long Live Eternal President Kim Il Sung! ***
