Korea Continued with the Red Flag Waving High

THIS year we remember the 20th anniversary of the demise of our Great Leader Comrade President Kim Il Sung. We the members and friends of the Korean Friendship Association consider the President our paramount Leader. Under his leadership the heroic anti-Japanese, anti-imperialist and anti-feudalist armed struggle was led to brilliant victory achieving the Restoration of the Fatherland and the beginning of the building of a new society.

The President wisely combined for the first time in history the national liberation struggle and the class struggle on one idea, uniting the country with single minded unity.

The US imperialists could not accept the success of the newly founded DPRK over their imposed colony in the south of Korea and they provoked an armed invasion against the DPRK.

Generalissimo Kim Il Sung mobilized the country with the spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, and almost the entire Peninsula was liberated. The US imperialists and their satellites could never imagine such a loss, so they sent all their military to Korea and they even planned the use of nuclear weapons against Korea. Again, the imperialists fell to their knees before the Korean People and finally signed the Armistice Agreement.

After the Victory of the Fatherland Liberation War, that we commemorated the last year with its 60th anniversary, Kim Il Sung initiated a great upsurge in socialist construction, creating a completely new society. He determinedly proposed the 3-revolution Red Flag Movement and other mass movements so as to accelerate the building of socialism to the maximum. He also made remarkable efforts to accomplish the cause of national reunification.

The counterrevolutionaries and revisionists restored capitalism in almost the entire socialist block, betraying socialism and their own people. But this was not the case in Korea, thanks to the single minded unity around the leader of the Party, State, Army and People, Korea continued with the Red Flag waving high, giving an outstanding example of national independence and socialist construction to the entire world.

The President found a brilliant solution to the issue of the successor of the leadership in order to safeguard socialism and accomplish the revolutionary cause of modeling the whole society on the Juche Idea. Kim Il Sung worked hard till the last moment of his life and died of sudden illness in his office 20 years ago.

The Korean People continued his path electing Dear Leader comrade Kim Jong Il as General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and continues now with the same struggle under the leadership of dear respected comrade Marshal Kim Jong Un, the great successor to the revolutionary cause of Juche, who is identical to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in terms of ideoogy, leadership, personalities and benevolence. The Marshal is brilliantly leading Korea to the new era of accomplishing the cause of building a thriving socialist country in the 21st century.
