His life and exploits are inscribed in glory. He was the sun lighting the universe and clearing the darkness of imperialism and colonialism. He embarked on the road of independence and liberation. He preceded his forerunners by far in seeking the way of freeing from the hysteric imperialist occupation.
His family was revolutionary, denying any submission or humiliation and, though poor in living, rich in revolutionary spirit. He pursued his studies, learnt fidelity and cultivated good character in this family. He made himself master of the idea “Jiwon” authored by Kim Hyong Jik.
As seen above, his birth has a historical significance comparable to a Korean independence declaration. He was handed over a pistol from his father. It was as good as a seed sown in fertile soil of ideology which tells that Korea could not achieve independence without arms. He had a deep insight into the world governed by the jungle law.
He was engrossed in study to seek the goal and way ahead of the national liberation struggle and organized guerrilla units in a unique way and created the Juche idea that advocates regarding the people as the heaven. This idea was as significant as a beacon light that indicated the way the Korean revolution should follow.
He expounded that independence is the most essential property of man. Man was born to live free, not to be fettered to slavery of others. This idea of man was the factor of forming his property and feeling and making him most powerful.
He led the Korean revolution taking the arms and ideas together.
He said: We can go without sugar, but not without arms. This formidable theory drove the US and Japanese imperialists to gasp. Tiding over the difficulties and ordeals he liberated Korea and proclaimed the founding of the Republic. While building a new country, he led 2 years-old state to face the 200 years-old opulent US. He relied only on the army and people to defeat the barbarous invading army.
He won the 3 years-long war. He humbled the US imperialism. It yielded overpowered by the Korean People’s Army and was dragged out to the negotiation table to make a signature on their surrender document.
I have to refer to the fact that leader Kim Jong Il lived in the operation planning room accompanying President Kim Il Sung and surprised the commanding officers with his sharp insight. It was natural.
Leader Kim Jong Il had been born in the camp on Mt. Paektu and learnt the strategy and tactics from President Kim Il Sung in his childhood. He managed the affairs of state for nearly 30 years accompanying President Kim Il Sung.
In this period Korea made an economic leap forward of Chollima to lay a firm foundation, political, economic and cultural. President Kim Il Sung played a great role not only in the liberation of Korea, but also in its development of our African countries and the Non-aligned Movement. The works and immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung were rapidly disseminated to the world oppressed peoples to be impressed solidly on their mind.
He built a strong Korean-style socialism. The characteristics of this socialism lie in the people-centred, Juche-oriented socialism. It resolutely foiled the provocations of the enemy, countering the challenges of the Western imperialists.
Therefore, many people marvel at the Korean-style socialism which demonstrated its might even when socialism was collapsed in the former USSR and East European countries and study it. The Korean-style socialism emphasized the importance of the army in the life of the state and the people. Leader Kim Jong Il carved the destiny of the country together with President Kim Il Sung.
He clarified the essence and features of the Juche idea and made it a perfect idea that guides man to the independence and liberation. After the death of President Kim Il Sung he firmly faced the desperate attacks of the US, West, Japan and south Korea. The immortal exploits and noble personality of President Kim Il Sung are unfathomable.
He devoted all his lifetime to the wellbeing of the nation as their father, and succeeding his cause leader Kim Jong Il created the Songun politics and frustrated all the slanders when the Korean nation had to suffer the most severe ordeal.
It was the clairvoyance of leader Kim Jong Il that he put priority to the military in that difficult time.
He demonstrated that the firm unity of the Party, army and people behind the leader was more powerful than an atomic bomb and humbled the arrogant US imperialists.
If there was no Songun politics, a war would have been broken out long before and all Asia ruined.
When the Korean nation had a hard time of it with the death of President Kim Il Sung and a series of natural calamities, the Songun politics verified itself in the single-handed resistance to the US “uni-polarization” scheme. It also developed the economy, industry, society and military of the country to turn Korea into a thriving nation.
Leader Kim Jong Il faced all the plots against Korea’s socialism with the Songun politics. When the US threatened to start a nuclear war he announced the nuclear possession to hold the provokers in check in case they attempt to harm a morsel of the property of Korea.
The US imperialists and its satellite forces trembled. They enlisted the UN to stifle Korea economically. He exercised the Songun politics and saw to attain self-sufficiency in war equipment and consumer goods and develop the science and technology relying on the Korean people armed with the Juche idea.
Victorious march began in all fields of life and space technology striking the world with wonder and Korea was known as a model of the dignity and courage.
He won an unbroken series of victories in the political, military and diplomatic showdown with the US and south Korean puppet regime. President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il devoted their all to the Korean nation.
They made efforts to reunify the country peacefully without any foreign interference.
The Songun politics gave a firm guarantee for defending the security of the world and the Korean peninsula.
In Korea there is a slogan “Let us build a thriving nation with our own efforts!” Marshal Kim Jong Un succeeding to the blood of Mt. Paektu is leading Korea today. He is leading today’s march just as the preceding leaders had done.
Korea is in full steam ahead to build a thriving nation under his leadership. I had the luck to witness the development in all fields of the economy, science, military, and society and so on.
I would notice change every time I visit Korea.
When the world trembled with the danger of nuclear war in the Korean peninsula Marshal Kim Jong Un announced that he would not allow any threat of the US and the south Korean puppet regime while frustrating their acts at every step, and brought them to their knees overpowered by the Songun politics.
The Songun politics is a strong and fair mode of politics leading the nation to the development and prosperity. Only heroes are born in the revolutionary family to complete the march of Mt. Paektu.
Marshal Kim Jong Un turned Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il Korea into a symbol of the dignity and fortitude.
Today Korea is strong and steady thanks to the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un and the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il. ***
