Family
It is very important to consolidate the unity of the family. It is good to make a commendable tradition united physically, spiritually and in viewpoint and make them dedicate themselves to others and serve them.
Comrade Kim Il Sung, our respected leader and permanent President, had been possessed of rare fortune. He was born from a patriotic and revolutionary family which had a tradition of fighting the foreign colonialist invaders for the country's sovereignty and independence from the 70s of the 19th century.
They in their own respective generation fought to the last moment of their life to achieve great feats, glory and merits to get laudation of all throughout the country and made the example of the bravery, fidelity, spirit of self-sacrifice and perseverance facing whatever ordeals until they crowned with glory.
They had fought for the wellbeing of their acquaintances, and further all the people without seeking their own personal honour, and finally rose to popularity worldwide.
They had not been hesitant in the face of sacrifices, ruins and adversities only to serve for the mankind.
Liberation
President Kim Il Sung crossed deadline many a time and risked the safety of family while fighting to achieve liberation. However, he never bent his fighting will for the inevitable result, that is, for the happiness and glory of the people. In a word, he was an impeachable patriot and a communist perfect in ideology, theory and practice.
His unique outstanding ideas were a philosophical idea of Juche and his sagacious political ideal the Songun idea. All these ideas claim to continue to fight and march against all forms of imperialism and for the wellbeing and prosperity of his people.
However, he concluded that the only way to achieve the aim lay in winning the people and contemplated it further to author the people-centered theory that we know very well.
This idea became a guideline of the people of this country in building a free, independent, anti-imperialist and socialist country.
Today this idea became a unique way and guideline for the mankind at the present circumstances of the world.
Devotion of All
President Kim Il Sung in his young age was absorbed in reading and studying and embarked on the way to achieve the cause of revolution, braving the danger of his parents and fulfilled difficult tasks. Later he began to lead the revolutionary movement of the youth and students.
However, what was necessary in defeating imperialism lay in studying the advanced ideas of Marxism and Leninism and all the problems concerning the Korean revolution, bringing up the hard core and building up the strength of the revolutionary organizations as soon as possible.
From then on, he began to have a lively time of it engaging himself in the education, propagation, organizing and fighting, frequenting various places.
His specific aim was to defeat the Japanese colonialism and US imperialism and achieve victory and wellbeing of the people.
Sober and Modest in Victory
There is a monument on the way to Mangyongdae, his birthplace, which tells his ideas and personality of giving the destiny of the country precedence over his private affairs. By the monument he solved the urgent and difficult problems raised by the revolution before he visited his home village.
Responsible to the Last
His responsibility can be found in his acts, battles, frustrations, ideas and works, all as universal heritage and exemplary to the present and coming generations in their life.
In particular, in the present circumstances in which our citizens, men and women, go to excessive consumerism and loose humanity our policy of “welfare” and all the social activities will only result in the balance of our life. ***
