This international seminar involving the friends of the DPRK in the world will be a meeting with a special importance in two ways: One about a great man who lived a devotional and difficult life for the liberation and sovereignty of the nation, and the other about the most important desire of the Korean peninsula, that is, the problem of reunifying the country divided into two quickly and in a peaceful way.
The north and south Korean people and the authorities of north Korea have been continuing to strive for the reunification of the country.
The death of the great leader of Korea gave a great shock to the countries pursuing revolution and socialism at the time. For his death mankind lost a great strategist of the struggle for the justice and liberation.
Great Comrade Kim Il Sung, permanent President of Korea and founder of the DPRK, is a paragon of formidable fighters.
People always wait for the emergence of a leader who will guide them in the revolutionary struggle. Representatives of the people play the role with their indomitable efforts.
They analyze and review the situation and build a new society tiding over the difficulties. Therefore, the leadership well prepared as in the DPRK guarantees the inheritance of the ideas applied to the realities of the time, and after Comrade Kim Il Sung, the creator of the Juche idea, passed away, the behests given by him are still well implemented in the seething realities.
We mark the 20th year after the death of Comrade Kim Il Sung, permanent leader, on July 8, 1994 to look back upon the great immortal exploits made by him and the brilliant life illumining the path ahead.
He was succeeded by the respected leader of the Korean people Comrade Kim Jong Il and now the historical cause started in Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain of revolution is succeeded by Comrade Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the DPRK State and Party and Supreme Commander of the KPA under the guidance of the great Juche idea created for the world revolution and better future.
Born of a poor family, he experienced bitter sufferings under the inhuman acts of colonialists from his childhood (Japanese occupationists colonized the Korean people and deprived them of even their elementary rights). With burning hatred and grievances to the enemy he nurtured a brilliant idea to liberate the country trampled underfoot by the foreign enemies.
As in all other liberation struggles many were subdued in the face of invaders' massacre, but being a great commander of the anti-Japanese guerrilla unit, he tided over all the difficulties seeing through the situation with a vision of a young man of insight in order to achieve the liberation, a dream of all the people.
However, the enemy did not fall back. This time he had to face the ferocious US imperialists. Since then they have subjected a part of Korea for nearly 70 years manipulating their puppets as they pleased.
The US stationed 42,000 troops in south Korea to hamper the reunification of Korea. Families have been divided in the north and the south for decades since the past 3 years-long war which has been suspending Korea in a truce state till now. Brothers, cousins, parents and children have been separated. It is a really inhuman division.
The seminar in Indonesia is a form of support and solidarity to the cause of Korea. The violation of the dignity anywhere in the world gives sorrow to all. The people living separated in the two parts of Korea are no exception. Mt. Paektu is a sacred mountain where leader Kim Jong Il was born in the midst of the war. He lost his mother when he was 7 years old.
Great Comrade Kim Il Sung authored the great Juche idea meaning that a man is his own master and he has the power able to carve out his own destiny. It became a great contribution to the mankind aspiring after being freed from the oppression (together with his other exploits.).
“Just as fish cannot live out of water, so the guerrillas can only win relying on the people.”
It is 20 years since Comrade Kim Il Sung passed away, but his struggle and love of people, his devotion to the national reunification have to be put on the agenda until Korea is reunified peacefully.
The 21st century is an era of continued challenges.
Comrade Kim Jong Un, respected leader of the DPRK, succeeds the cause initiated by his eternal grandfather President Kim Il Sung, immortal leader of the people, and his respected father leader Kim Jong Il.
Since we celebrated the centenary of the birth of the father of Korea we affirm that our struggle for the better world will continue to advance under the Juche idea and the Songun strategy which Comrade Kim Jong Il developed from it to defend the country from the invasion of the enemy.
