ON the 105th anniversary of the birthday of President Kim Il Sung, eternal leader of the Korean People on 15th April, 2017, I have a great honor to take part in the meaningful symposium on his immortal exploits and contribution held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
On this meaningful occasion, I am recalling in humble reverence the great life and immortal contributions of H. E. President Kim Il Sung who dedicated his whole life and efforts to the independent cause of mankind of the world.
Now, the cause of independence of mankind is stoutly advancing forward as in the past.
President Kim Il Sung was the elder statesman of the world who upheld the banner of the anti-imperialist independence and steered the cause of human independence and the greatest man who led to victory the cause of global independence by steering the helm of independence.
He embarked on the road of struggle to liberate his country from the Japanese military occupation in his teens at the beginning of the turbulent 20th century and created the Juche idea and the Songun idea on the basis of his scientific insight into the new era that was dawning on the world.
Based on the Juche idea, the Songun idea clarifies the principle that the revolution is pioneered, advanced and accomplished on the strength of arms. In other words, its main content is that in order to accomplish the cause of independence, which is accompanied by a severe showdown with imperialism, it is essential to found the revolutionary armed forces first, build up the driving force of the revolution with the armed forces as the main force and carry on the revolution by relying on it.
From the early 1930s to mid-1940s, he organized and led an armed struggle against the Japanese imperialists with no state to back it in the rear or support from a regular army and achieved Korea’s independence and liberation. From 1950 to 1953, he repelled an armed invasion by the US-led imperialist allied forces and splendidly safeguarded the sovereignty of the country.
He established the people-centered socialist system in Korea and strengthened and developed the country into a socialist power which is independent in politics, self-sufficient in economy and self-reliant in defence.
President Kim Il Sung also gave perfect solution to the ideological theoretical problems arising in implementing the cause of independence and set practical examples in this regard on the basis of the Juche idea and Songun idea.
Independent world he clarified is a world where all sorts of domination and colonialism are completely abolished and the sovereignty of all the countries and nations are perfectly realized.
He set out a slogan “Peoples of the world who champion independence, unite!” and sincerely helped many countries in their struggle for national independence and independent development and did his best to strengthen and develop the socialist movement and the non-aligned movement and other progressive movements aspiring after anti-imperialist independence.
He met a lot of heads of state and prominent figures of many countries and taught them strategies and tactics for national liberation struggle in colonies, gave solutions to the complicated and knotty problems raised by them, and rendered unstinted material and spiritual assistance to newly-independent countries in their effort to build a new society.
Really, his life was a brilliant one of a genuine internationalist and have revered and highly praised be them thanks to his immortal exploits and contributions.
The achievements performed by President Kim Il Sung while pioneering the cause of global independence and blazing the trail for it will shine forever along with the cause of independence which is winning victory after victory against all odds of history.
Inheriting the President, H. E. Kim Jong Il had formulated the Juche Idea of President as the integral system of idea, theory and method of Juche and, with the unique Songun politics, he had put the dignity of the nation and state power on the highest level.
Today, the supreme leader H. E. Kim Jong Un, formalized the idea and cause of President Kim Il Sung and H. E. Kim Jong Il as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, is leading wisely the Korean People to consolidate its single-hearted unity and to build the economic power of the country together with the political and military strength.
Expressing belief that, under the wise leadership of the supreme leader H. E. Kim Jong Un, Korean People will definitely win the victory in their struggle for building the socialist power state and for realizing the national reunification by smashing the all sorts of challenges and difficulties, I take this opportunity to express my firm support and solidarity and to their just struggle. ***
