Korea: Ever-victorious with Independence

INDEPENDENT politics is inevitable requirement to maintain the dignity of the country and nation and march ahead ever victoriously.

The dignity of a country and nation is the authority and prestige that no one can dare to undermine, and it is protected and secured by the independent politics. President KIM IL SUNG said. "Political independence is the lifeblood of a country and nation. Only when independence is maintained in politics it is possible to defend the nation's prestige and to accelerate the revolution and construction." Independent politics safeguards the independence and sovereignty of a country and nation and the interest of its people relying on them. Political independence is lifeblood for a country and nation and it is a primary decisive factor of an independent and sovereign state.

We have build our own countries and societies, where we are the owner of our land, where there is full sovereign power in the hands of the people. Independence is essential because it gives us strength, determination and vision, which encourages us to build prosperous and cultured societies.

Ideological clarity is a force which pushes us to pour and properly use all our energies and wisdom to accomplish our historical task. Only those people who dare to fight and sacrifice for the nation and the people and for the noble cause can fulfill any responsibility or mission.

Marxist and Communist are made of special material that is why the history has a great hope on them. Look to all those people who have the genius, courage and capabilities to create a new society, full with happiness and abundance so that, all people feel proud to be the citizens of that nation. This encourages others also to follow the same principle and path to realize their long-awaited dream.

A nation that firmly maintains the political independence can defend its independence and dignity and can achieve its independent development and prosperity. Nothing is more important and precious than political independence for a country and nation. An independent politics is essential in defending and glorifying the dignity of the country and nation.

First of all, independent politics secures the dignity of a country and nation by defending the sovereignty of the country and nation and by deciding and implementing the lines and policies independently. Independence is a sacred right for a country and nation and the dignity can never be maintained, apart from the independence.

A government cannot defend the independence of its own nation, apart from independent politics and the popular masses cannot save themselves from the destiny of slavery. It has been clearly proved by the lessons of Iraq and other countries that had failed maintaining independence in politics due to the imperialists' arbitrariness and pressure.

Dignity of a country and nation is defended and glorified through the struggle for independence of its popular masses. The struggle of popular masses for independence that takes place with a country and nation as a unit can gain victory only when it decides and implements all the lines and policies independently. Independent politics guarantees victory in the popular masses' struggle for independence by deciding the lines and policies in reflection of the demands of its people and in conformity with the realities of the country and by implementing them relying on its people.

The dignity of a country and nation will be impaired and its revolution and construction will come to ruin when they play to the tune of others, losing independent principle. The Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government never allowed any interference of foreign powers in the revolution and construction. They have mapped out policies in the stand of Juche and implemented them by relying entirely on the masses and enlisting their inexhaustible energy. The Korean people exalt their dignity and honor with high national pride and self-confidence, thanks to the independent politics of the Party and the government.

Next, independent politics maintains the dignity of the country and nation by exercising complete sovereignty and equality in the foreign relations. There are countries in the world, big and small, developed and developing, but they are all independent and equal. Every country and nation can firmly maintain their dignity only when it exercises its independent rights in the foreign relations. Today in the international arena, the imperialists' tyranny and arbitrariness, interference in other's internal affairs and aggressive machinations are becoming all the more undisguised. Thus the dignity of many countries and nations are ruined and the independent development is threatened in danger. The resources, natural and human, which we now have, if controlled properly and thoughtfully used, it will lead to a better world than what we had ever before. The future is in our hands. We will survive or perish by the choice we now make. History must take a new direction if man's deepest desire for peace and prosperity is to endure and prevail. In such circumstances, only the independent politics which enables to fully exercise sovereignty and equality in the foreign relations can frustrate the interference and domination of imperialists and firmly maintain and achieve the dignity and independent development of countries and nations.

Independent politics never allows any imperialists' maneuvers to ruin the dignity and position of every country and nation but strengthens the international solidarity and cooperation based on independence. To achieve the independent development and prosperity of countries and nations, international solidarity and cooperation is a must. International solidarity and cooperation can only be extended when we take independent and clear political stand, without wavering. Today every country and nation gropes for ways for development differently. Independent politics is the politics to maintain and glorify the dignity of a country and nation. As it is the universal politics that reflects the noble desire of mankind, it will be an example of the world politics gaining the sympathy and support from every country and nation in the world.

Korea is ever-victorious with independence!, because the Workers' Party of Korea, which has inherited the programme of the "Down with Imperialism Union "formed by President KIM IL SUNG on October 17, 1926 to liberate the country from the Japanese military occupation, has been the ruling party in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea since the first days of its founding (October 10, 1945). The 75-year history of the WPK is the history of the people-first principle, in which it has believed in the people as of heaven and served them with devotion. Having inscribed a hammer, a sickle, and a writing brush on its red flag, it has never been separated from the people, but has always advanced the revolution and construction by believing in them and by relying on their strength.

The people-first principle, the lifeblood of the WPK, is an idea of holding up the masses of the people as the most precious and powerful beings in the world, making everything serve them and solving all the problems by relying on them.

Today, the WPK is being further strengthened and developed into a party which has formed an integral whole with the masses under the leadership of its Chairman KIM JONG UN. The people's support for and trust in the Party has been further consolidated as it has made selfless, devoted efforts for the benefit of the people by thoroughly applying the people-first principle to its overall work.

As the Korean people are faithful to the leadership of the WPK, which regards the people as the paradise and devotes everything for the people, their just cause of building an ideal society for the people will be completed without fail.

On this occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea paying tributes and warmest gratitude to the great persons of Mt Paektu- President KIM IL SUNG and Comrade KIM JONG IL, founder and builders of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the glorious fatherland with their burning determination to successfully accomplish the cause of building the socialist powerful country and the anti-Japanese guerrilla fighter Comrade Kim Jong Suk, I wish His Excellency Marshal KIM JONG UN, supreme leader of the Korean people and chairman of the WPK, good health and happiness to achieve the final victory of the Juche cause under the farsighted leadership of the WPK.
