The WPK has Guided the Revolutionary Cause of Juche

IT is great honor for me to deliver my speech in this international e-seminar ‘The Korea - Ever Victorious With Independence’ which is being celebrated on the 75th founding anniversary day of glorious and iron-willed Workers’ Party of Korea.

I would like to congratulate the organizing committee of the international festival in praise of great persons of Mt. Paektu and the Indonesia-Korea Friendship and Cultural Exchange and specially Mr. Teguh Santosa who have put in great efforts to make it a successful event.

Dear Friends and Comrades,

The Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) has guided the revolutionary cause of Juche, the cause of socialism to victory through the storms of history over the years. The WPK under the sophisticated leadership of President Kim Il Sung, founder of the Party and great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il eternal General Secretary developed into a Juche based revolutionary organization; the Party of the great leader Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in which the uniformity and continuity of the leaders’ ideology and leadership are firmly ensured and played a role of organizer and guide of all victories of the Korean people. This Party has been working devotedly to make it strong and steady. The services rendered by the WPK has won every heart and every mind not only in DPRK but also in the entire world. It is all due to the great leaders’ wise and enlightened policies that the WPK is now considered as an exemplary party.

We pay homage and rich tribute to President Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il whose sagacity, faithfulness and true devotion to their brilliant, creative and energetic services to the cause of socialism independence, self-reliance and well-being of their people and the house-net all over the world.

The first secret is its guiding ideology, the Juche idea, authored by President Kim Il Sung, founding father of socialist Korea and founder of the Party.

The Juche idea means, in a nutshell, that man is the master of his own destiny and its capable of shaping it. In other words, it means that the masters of the revolution and construction are the masses of the people and that they are the motive force of the revolution and construction. The idea is recognized as an idea guiding the cause of global independence as well as the WPK.

The great leaders President Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il applied the Juche idea in a thoroughgoing way in the whole course of their leadership of the WPK. They put forward the idea of modelling the entire Party on the Juche idea, and equipped all the Party members with that idea, on the basis of this, they consolidated the Party into an entity of ideological purity with one ideology. Thus, the Party solved all the problems arising in the revolution and construction from the independent judgement and opinion as suited to the actual conditions of the country and the desire of the Korean people. At the end of the 20th century, when the ruling parties of several socialist countries collapsed on after another, the WPK remained unperturbed. Though the imperialist allied forces maneuvered to isolate and stifle the DPRK, it not only firmly defended the banner of socialism without any slightest vacillation but is now advancing dynamically towards the goal of building a great, prosperous and powerful socialist country. This testifies to the fact that the Juche idea, which the WPK invariably holds fast to as its guiding ideology in its activities, is a great ideology for its scientific accuracy and truthfulness.

The second secret of the unity and cohesion of the entire Party.

The unity and cohesion of a party is one of the key factors, on which hinges its destiny. The great leaders President Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il channeled great efforts to consolidating it into one, which is pure in its ideology, highly organized and united in action. It thus formed a complete harmonious whole of millions of its members moving as one. Holding the slogan "When the Party is determined, we can do anything!" all its members turned out as one in the struggle for implementing the Party's lines and policies without any conditions attached. It demonstrated its might as the most powerful party by dint of its sense of organization and discipline, the might of unity and fighting efficiency.

The might of unity and cohesion of the WPK is based not only on the unity of ideology and will but on the sense of moral obligation. All its work and activities were conducted by the voluntary and conscious efforts of its members, and solid unity and cohesion based on comradeship had been established throughout it. Thanks to such unity and cohesion, the WPK has had no factions or disputes between them, a phenomenon common in the parties of other countries.

The steel-like unity and cohesion of the WPK produced the single-hearted unity of all the people and the entire army in the Korean society. The single-hearted unity, unbreakable even by a nuclear bomb, is one of the major factors which enables socialist Korea to emerge victorious by surmounting any harshest trials.

The third secret is that it enjoys absolute support and trust of the people.

Leader Kim Jong Il who regarded President Kim Il Sung’s idea of ‘The People are My God’ as his moto set forth the slogans "Let the whole Party go among the masses!" and "We serve the people!" As it has enforced such people-oriented measures as free medical care and free education, and pursued benevolent politics and all-embracing politics, so as to take responsible care of the people's destiny and future, the Korean people place absolute trust in it and follow it invariably, calling it their mother. A party based on such mass foundation always emerges victorious-this is a truth proved by history.

The fourth secret is that the WPK has supreme leader Comrade Kim Jong Un as Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, the highest post and receives his wise leadership.

Today, thanks to having Comrade Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea in high esteem, the WPK can maintain its original revolutionary nature as the Party of Kim Il Sungism-Kim Jong Ilism and a "Mother Party" which gives top priority to the people's demand and interests and regards them absolute holding fast to the people-first principle. It also is now guiding the popular masses in full confidence with the correct line and strategies and tactics for building the socialism.

In the 21st century the WPK has responded to the imperialists’ hard line with toughest line demonstrating national dignity and honor, bringing a radical phase in the building of a great, prosperous, powerful nation and the cause of national reunification, exalting the countries international prestige and status and creating an international environment, favorable to the Korean revolution under the brilliant guidance of respected Supreme leader Marshall Kim Jong Un.

We know that the DPRK in recent years had to face hard days due to callous and inhumane policies of the imperialist forces because of sanctions imposed on DPRK, but we are happy to see that they succeeded in defeating all and are bravely marching ahead with dedicated spirit under the energetic and enthusiastic leadership of respected leader Marshall Kim Jong Un. They are moving boldly with emblem of writing brush wedded to hammer and skill, which is the symbol of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

On this occasion, I wholeheartedly wish His Excellency Respected Leader Marshall          Kim Jong Un vigorous health, long life and happy days ahead.

I also wish glorious era for the great Korean people. I believe that the days are not far off when the Korean reunification will take place under the leadership of Marshall Kim Jong Un, the WPK and people of Korea will emerge victorious.
