強靭な共和国を見た

10月10日、朝鮮労働党が創立７５周年という大慶を迎えるにあたり、共和国を尊敬し、ピョンヤンを愛する日本のジャーナリストとしてお祝いを申し上げます。

貴国の国際祝典委員会がインドネシア朝鮮親善文化交流協会と共催でインターネット国際討論会や各種の記念行事を実施されるというご案内をいただきました。各種の記念行事が成功されることを心からお祈りするとともに、私から、共和国の皆々様に共感の思いを伝えます。

過去、日本から多くのジャーナリストが共和国を訪問したと思います。私は2006年が最初の訪問でした。その頃も、日本国内の報道は共和国を敵対視した情報で溢れていましたが、その異常な敵視ぶりを尻目に、私はジャーナリストとして現地取材は不可欠と判断し、以後、2018年まで継続的に訪問し、取材を重ね、週刊誌に数十回にわたって、共和国レポートを掲載してきました。

日本が朝鮮半島を植民地にしていた歴史的事実は広く世界に知られていることですが、朝鮮戦争と日本の関係の実態や、現在も日本国内で生活する在日朝鮮人に対するいわれなき差別や排斥主義の実態などは、あまり知られてはいません。日本国内の人種差別ぶりが国際社会で問題になったことなどはないのです。

共和国を訪問し、私は自分の無知を知りました。ピョンヤン市内にある祖国解放戦争勝利記念館を視察した時に感じた衝撃を忘れることができません。記念館には、朝鮮戦争時に人民軍兵士が攻撃したアメリカ軍の飛行機や国連軍の戦車などが数多く陳列されていました。なんとその中に、日本のトヨタ製のジープが一台ありました。それを見たとたん、私は「そうか、日本は朝鮮戦争で軍需品を作ってぼろ儲けしていたんだ！」と、はっと我に返ったのでした。たしかにそうでした。日本は朝鮮戦争でアメリカ軍に武器と物資を提供した。それを日本国内では〈朝鮮特需〉と言っていたのでした。私はボロボロのトヨタのジープを見て、日本という国がどういう国だったのかを共和国から教えられたのでした。

さらに共和国から教えられたことがあります。共和国建設の父である金日成主席が教示した【主体】という思想と行動のことです。私の若い頃、日本の大学ではチュチェ研という主席の思想を学ぶ多くの生徒がいましたが、私はジャーナリストとして共和国を訪問し取材してから、この思想哲学の偉大さに触れることになったのでした。同時に疑問も感じました。

それはこの国が10年間以上も続いている経済制裁という圧力に直面しているにもかかわらず、社会が衰退するどころか逆にますます強靭になっていくことを、世界の著名な学者たちが驚異、又は不可思議だと指摘している点です。共和国の取材を10年間以上も継続してきた私の疑問も、その点、つまり「なぜ共和国は強靭なのか」でした。つまり世界の主要国家との経済関係が遮断されている中で、自国一国のみの力で、本当に国家運営が可能なものなのか、社会発展が可能なのか、という疑問がありました。武力だけでは強靭な国家社会は築けないからです。

しかし共和国を１3年間取材した私には、共和国が強靭になり続けられる理由、或は条件が見えています。そのキー・ワードは、自給自足です。その範囲は、農作物から工業用品にいたるまで広く、単に衣食住どころか、あらゆる生産に必要な設備、そしてその設備を動かすための電気・ガスなどのエネルギーに至るまで、必要なモノをすべて供給できるというシステムと体制が揃っている点です。共和国という国家全体が自給自足体制でシステム化されて、世界でもほとんど類例のない社会を作ったと言えるでしょう。いまや共和国は先端テクノロジーを応用した科学技術立国に変容しています。一例ですが「石炭から石油を製造する」ことぐらいはすでに簡単に行われています。

いま共和国は、金正恩国務委員長の指導によって朝鮮労働党創立75周年を迎えました。すでに共和国は自力でアメリカをテーブルにつかせたのです。主席が、総書記が、金正恩国務委員長が70余年間という長く厳しい時空に立ち向かい、本当に強靭な国家を築きました。

金正恩国務委員長におかれましては、いつの日か共和国を、世界有数の福祉国家にまで発展させることをお願いいたしたく思います。

Abstract

I saw a powerful Rebublic.

Greeting the 75th founding anniversary of Workers' Party of Korea, a great anniversary, on 10th of October, I, as a journalist who respect and love Pyongyang, extends congratulations.

It was 2006 when I made a first visit to Korea. At the time, Japan was brimming with hostile news toward DPRK, but I did not care and decided that it is necessary to cover the news in DPRK. Therefore, I repeated coversing the news until 2018 and wrote articles to weekly magazines dozens of times.

The history Japanese colonial rule ove Korea is a well-known fact throughout the world but the facts on relations between Korean war and Japan and the unjust discrimination towards Koreans living in Japan are not well known to the public. The racial discrimination inside Japan has never been an issue in international community.

I came to realise about my ignorance when I visited DPRK.

I cannot forget the shock I got when I visited Fatherland Liberation War Museum. On display were the planes, tanks of UN forces and lots of other war trophies.I noticed there was a JEEP truck made in Japanese car production company "TOYOTA". Then, I realised that Japan made an enormous profit from Korean war with its war machines.

There are further things that I've learnt in Korea.

It is Juche Idea put forward by the President Kim Il Sung, the founder of the DPRK and its practices.

When I was young, there was a lot of students who joined the Juche Idea research organizations and had learned idea of the President Kim Il Sung.

During the time I covered the news in DPRK, I came to realise its greatness. At the same, there was a big doubt.

It is same as outstanding scholars around the world take it wonderful and mysterious at the fact that DPRK, through decade-old sanctions, did not decline but rather became stronger.

Is it really a possible for a country can run a government and make social progress under the blockade of economic reltations with other countries? One cannot build a strong country only relying on military power.

Through 13 years of press coverage in DPRK, I could be able to see the reason or the condition that DPRK is getting stronger.

In a word, it is a self-sufficiency.

I would say that DPRK, as a whole, is the only country in the world which has system of self-sufficiency.

For example, DPRK can produce perolium from coal.

Now, DPRK, under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission, greets the 75th founding anniversary of DPRK. DPRK, with its own power, made U.S to sit on the negotiation table.

By braving through over 70 year long time and space, Presdient Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il, Chairman Kim Jong Un built a genuine powerful country.

I wish that Chairman Kim Jong Un would turn DPRK into a top wellbeing country in the world.
