The Tenacity and Steadfastness of the Working Class People

THE Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples and the Cuban Committee in Support of Korea’s Reunification are grateful for the opportunity to participate in the international event organized by the Indonesia-Korea Friendship and Cultural Exchange Association  dedicated to “Korea, Always Victorious for Independence” on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

When the great leader Kim Il Sung founded the WPK to lead the army and the people to victory he had the dream of building a new country.

Today, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is a new homeland of happy children and teenagers, of men and women who contribute day by day to the progress of the country.

The great leader organized and guided the process of the construction of the party from its foundation to its advancement and consolidation.

He scientifically defined the essential attributes of man and clarified the creative and conscious principles of the masses by developing the theory of party building of the working class.

The tenacity and steadfastness of the working class people made it possible to transform the heroism of war into the heroism of self-sacrificing, disciplined, everyday work from which developed industry impressive constructive effort and modern efficient agriculture have emerged.

The continuity of Kim Il Sung’s idea was strengthened under the guidance of his successor Comrade Kim Jong Il and is so consolidated in our days under the leadership of President Kim Jong Un.

The new generation of Korean leaders are continuing the cause of building a more powerful country with faith and will as strong as Paektu Mountain the sacred place of their homeland.

The struggle of the WPK is a reference for the revolutionary movement and the progressive peoples of the world for resisting the vicious anti-socialist maneuvers of the imperialists.

Cuba strongly condemn the unilateral and unjust sanctions against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

We recall the words spoken by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro during his visit to Korea: What we have seen here in Korea the successes of this admirable people strengthen our deep conviction that nothing can change the march of history.

The future does not belong to the reactionaries nor to the imperialists, not to the racists nor to the fascists!

The future belongs to independence of the peoples to progress to peace to socialism and internationalism!

Cuba firmly maintains that there is only one Korea. Cuba resolutely and undeservedly supports the wise policy of peaceful reunification of the country proclaimed by President Kim Il Sung and the WPK with the support of all its people.

For six decades our countries have invariably defended, consolidated, and developed the noble traditions of friendship solidarity and cooperation.

A sovereign and dignified relationship between friendly peoples united in a common cause.

We send our greetings to the glorious WPK on its 75th anniversary. we are convinced that the revolutionary principles of the great men of Mount Paektu are still valid in the Party and have the full confidence of the popular masses.

Long live the Workers’ Party of Korea!
Long live the heroic people of DPRK!
Long live the friendship between DPRK and Cuba!
Long live socialism and internationalism!
Long live peace!
